Come Together

the Music of the Beatles

Here’s a factoid to share at your next cocktail party: In 1989, a group of dedicated Japanese musicians undertook the task of transcribing every single note of every Beatles song ever recorded — capturing in an 1,100 page(!) volume every thread of the amazing tapestry of sound that was the Fab Four.

The men of Seattle Men’s Chorus will adopt this “high fidelity” approach as they pay tribute to the original mop-top quartet in Come Together. Using the precise transcriptions of The Beatles’ recordings, the Men’s Chorus will recreate a collection of favorite Lennon and McCartney tunes in exactly the same style as the originals you have known and loved. Video and creative staging will create a memorable concert not to be missed.

Preview Performance

Saturday, March 24, 8:00 PM

New for the 2011-2012 season is a series of preview performances where, for only $10 a seat, audiences can peek “behind the scenes” to see how we prepare a show for the main stage. These previews will be held at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center, a beautiful performance venue in the city of Renton. Audiences will see/hear the Chorus fine-tune songs and staging for the upcoming show, and have a unique opportunity to engage with artistic director Dennis Coleman, as well as members of the Chorus, in an after-show audience discussion.

Tickets for the Friends and Family Preview Performance can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 206.388.1400, or bought at the door on the day of the preview.
