Become A Volunteer
Volunteers opportunities are as diverse as the hundreds of people who volunteer with Flying House Productions. Both the Seattle Men's Chorus and the Seattle Women's Chorus are always looking for individuals who want to assist in production, merchandise sales, costuming, fundraising, ticketing, rehearsal support and office support. Our volunteers have a common desire to support the arts and our community. Their efforts make an important and positive difference.
If you are one of the many of us who can't sing or prefer to work behind the scenes, but have some time to support our work, we've got a place for you! Regular help is needed at the offices any time during the regular work week.
To volunteer, contact the Company Manager at 206.323.0750.
Volunteer Or Associate?
Volunteering with Flying House Productions is a great way to support the vision of the choruses. Volunteer opportunities are varied and fit almost anyone's schedule and interest level. Though not mandatory, volunteers are invited to become associates (non-performing members) after one quarter of service to the choruses.
Associates are those who contribute a minimum of 40 hours per year in administrative, production, fundraising and support related tasks. As an associate, you can attend any chorus rehearsal. You share the same rights and privileges as performing members, including invitations to all social events. Some people choose to become associate members while others choose to volunteer on a less frequent basis.
Associates typically meet twice each quarter - once on a Monday to correspond with the women's rehearsal and once on a Tuesday to correspond with the men's rehearsal. Meetings are generally one hour long.
